Sophia's First Day of School

Sophia had her first day of Mother's Day Out last week! She will be going to MDO twice a week at a little Baptist church by our house. Everyone is so sweet to her and seems to take special care of our little angel. Both days she was too distracted by all the toys and kids to even notice that we were leaving. Those first two days were definitely harder on me than it was on Sophia.

Since Sophia's birthday is so close to the September 1st cut-off, they were sweet enough to give us the choice between the Infant class (6 weeks-11months) and the 1 year old class (12-23 months). Technically, she should be in the Infant class but we chose to put her in the 1 year old class because she is walking, feeding herself, etc. She is the youngest in her class by almost three months but she fits in perfectly. We are so happy that it all worked out!

The first day she chose not to take a nap or eat/drink anything at all. Interesting, huh? We weren't too surprised. She is definitely not accustomed to sleeping in a room with eight other toddlers! The second day she actually ate well and had a two hour nap. Both days she was exhausted from playing so hard that she took another three hour nap when she got home.
Here are a couple pictures from her first day of school:
