We woke up this morning to a semi-white winter wonderland! There was quite a bit of ice, but also a couple inches of white fluffy snow on top. To say that this little snow angel was excited is definitely an understatement! Here she is last Christmas enjoying her first snow experience. Sophia was totally oblivious to the bone-chilling cold, but unfortunately we were not. It was cloudy and super windy which made for a miserably cold day. But, we couldn't say no to this face :-)
So we bundled her up and Dan and I took turns staying outside watching her play in the snow.
While we stood by shivering and cold, she did some jumping...
and some stomping...
and some digging with sand toys...
on the trampoline.
Well, we do live in Texas and it was 75 degrees last week :-)
Did I mention she had on rain boots? Haha :-) We are so prepared!
Sophia absolutely LOVED eating the snow!
I didn't mind since she was on the trampoline and the snow was white and clean :-)
So yummy!
Mmmmmm :-)
We love this sweet girl!
Next she wanted to make snow angels.
Ironically enough she had been practicing her snow angels for weeks.
So she pretty much had it down pat :-)
Finally, after almost 2 hours in the freezing cold, we dusted her off and made her come in.
After we warmed up by the fire, I made some yummy hot chocolate for everyone. Sophia wasn't a huge fan, but Dan and I really enjoyed ours :-) It is supposed to snow all night so we will definitely have some more fun in the snow tomorrow!
