My friend Melanie's Dad (Mac) dresses up as Santa each year and this year he made a house call! We thought with all the changes Sophia had been through and was about to go through (new sibling, new house, new school) we wanted to do something special for her.
Who could it possibly be?!
Her face was soooo precious when she saw Santa at the door. A priceless moment for sure!
She could NOT believe it!
There were maaaany hugs and kisses :-)
Brother wasn't particularly impressed. Haha!
Sophia wanted to show Santa where her elf Cookie was and what he had been up to...
She also wanted to show him the gingerbread house she decorated all by herself :-)
She got a little shy for a minute, but never quit smiling...
To say that she was thrilled is such an understatement. She was completely ECSTATIC!
She did not stop smiling the whole time 'Santa' was here :-)
Brother didn't seem to mind him either :-)
This was a dream come true for this girl!
Brother was just hanging out :-)
She told Santa LOTS of secrets!
Santa brought lots of yummy candy for the kids. S was thrilled! Her favorite was the lifesavers :-)
She loves her some Santa...
Brother was still sizing up the bearded man...
But he was happy as long as he had his straw to chew on :-)
S insisted on 'family' pics with Santa...
This one makes me laugh SO hard so I had to include it. Melanie and I always joke about Santa being 'over served' because his eyes are sometimes closed in pictures. This one probably takes the cake! :-)
When it was time for Santa to leave Sophia asked him where his sleigh and reindeer were and if she could come outside and see them.
He handled the question SO smoothly and told her that as soon as he walks out the front door she needs to run to the back porch and watch for his 'sleigh lights' in the sky and listen for the bells.
And boy did she run :-)
Well, sweet Mac **I mean 'Santa'** must have rang his bells all the way to the neighborhood gate.
We stood outside listening until Sophia couldn't hear the bells anymore.
It was definitely a Christmas miracle :-)
