Gma Mildred & Gpa Frank's 60th Anniversary Party!

These two love birds celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this weekend! They are so sweet and still so in love.  They (along with my parents) have the sweetest, most loving, supportive relationship I have ever witnessed.  I love that I have had these role models in my life.  I love them dearly!

My Dad organized and planned the entire party by himself (where do you think I get it from?!) He did such a great job and there was an amazing turnout!  Family, old friends, new friends, church friends, neighbors, old classmates, coworkers, etc.  My Grandparents were overwhelmed by the amount of people that loved them and wanted to celebrate with them.  We weren't surprised at all :-)

Grandma and Grandpa with their four kids: Kent, Terry, Sandra and Carla.

Grandpa Frank and his best friend, Junior.  They have been friends since they were little boys :-)

Love this guy!

This is Mark, one of Dad's best friends since they were young.

Carsten did't leave Poppa Kent's side most of the party.

I don't think he minded one bit :-)

Poppa Kent and his boys.  So sweet! And honery :-)

At one point all the grand kids were trying to sit on Poppa's lap.  This actually happens all the time.  He's a hot commodity around here :-)

Oh, man.  Such joy!

There was a park across the street from the community center where the party was. Next to the park was this old shed and one side had been painted white (obvious years before).  It reminded me of my Grandma Johnson's (my Dad's maternal grandmother) house and shed, which was just down from where we lived until I was in 1st grade.

It was a little bright since it was mid-day, but the kids managed to squint through it. It would have been so perfect if it would have been later in the day and it the shed had grass next to it instead of concrete :-)

How hard can it possibly be to get these cousins to look in the same direction?!  Obviously pretty hard :-)  And it was a bit windy. But still so sweet!

Can you tell it's bright?!  Haha!

I had to let C hold his cup of ice or he wouldn't sit still for the pic :-)

Of course they are looking in opposite directions! C was about to go chasing his cup of ice :-)

These two girls are so sweet!

Caden and Blaine are the S and C's second cousins.  Their Mom, Tara. is my cousin and I have such fond memories seeing her at every holiday, birthday, graduation, etc.  I'm so thankful my kids have a ton of cousins to grow up with. So much fun!

She adores cousin Blaine!

After the party we all went to one of Gma and Gpa's favorite restaurants.  It was a great weekend fun!  So thankful for my wonderful (and HUGE) family! :-)
