We spent some time this weekend with Mimi, Aunt Chelsea, Uncle Quent and Aunt Gena and of course Brennon, Frankie and Memphis. The absence of Dad's laugh, smile and twinkle in his eye is almost suffocating, but being with those who loved him and knew him best is comforting.
I don't think I will ever go into detail about everything thats happened on the blog because it's just too painful. We know we will see Dad again someday in Heaven and that is what we are clinging to.
It was much needed family time full of stories and memories and lots of laughing and tears. We swam, cooked out, rode horses, drove bumper cars, played arcade games, went on 'adventure walks' and just relaxed. It was nice to just be together.
We did manage to get a few sweet pictures while we were there also...
Then there were some that didn't quite make the editing cut, but are cute nonetheless :-)
Obviously I wasn't dressed to be in pics (and no make up!) :-)
