We checked into Medical City hospital bright and early this morning! Neither one of us slept much at all last night because we were so excited. We are just so ready to meet our sweet angel!
My OBGYN, Dr Todd Ruk, took the cerclage out around 8am, and I quickly started dilating. After a few hours I was dilated to 5cm but then completely stopped progressing due to scar tissue. Around 3pm, I was only dilated somewhere between a 5 and 6cm. After checking me, Dr Ruk said that he would give me two more hours to see if there was any more progress. If not, then we would need to go ahead and schedule a c-section.
That stubborn scar tissue was not going anywhere so we ended up scheduling a c-section for 6:30pm. At this point I was emotionally and physically exhausted, and we were just ready to meet our little girl. Sophia was born at 6:33pm and she couldn't be more perfect!
