Pictures from last day of school!

We made it through Sophia's first year of Mother's Day Out in tact! There were a few tears shed in the beginning, but it got so much easier after couple months.

At the beginning of the school year, Sophia would cling to me the entire walk from the parking lot to the classroom. By November she didn't cry anymore when I dropped her off. Then when January rolled around she wanted to walk to her classroom by herself.

That was hard for me at first because I realized that she didn't need me every second of every day. But that quickly passed and then I was just thankful that she had adjusted so well.

Sophia got sick for the first time ever after being in school about a month. I wanted to throw in the towel right then and there and never send her back. Dan (my voice of reason) reminded me that she could have picked up the germs from anywhere and we should stick it out. (Ugghhhh.)

It started out as just a little cold but then it turned into her first double ear infection. Apparently she has terrible drainage in her eustachian tubes just like her Daddy. It was so sad to see our baby feel so miserable. Bless her heart!

The physical and cognitive development that occurred between Sophia's first day of school (11 1/2 months) and her last day (19 1/2 months) is incredible. It has been amazing to watch her transformation from a sweet, innocent baby to smart, funny and independent toddler. She is such an amazing blessing and we are thankful everyday.
