Sophia's First Dental Appointment

Sophia had her first check-up at the dentist today, and she was an absolute angel!  I was a little nervous because up to this point she has not liked to brush her teeth at all.  I'm not sure why, but it is a battle every time we try to brush them.  I just knew she was going to get so mad when Dr. W tried to look around in her mouth.  She couldn't have been sweeter, and followed his every instruction perfectly. (I'm sitting there thinking why does she not follow my directions like this?! Lol :-))  

After her check-up he told her she could pick out three more toys from the treasure chest because she did so well.  She was beyond excited about the toys and her new toothbrush!  After the check-up we met Daddy for lunch.  Sophia showed her goodies and told him that, "Look Daddy, my teeth are sparkling clean!".  I'm so happy that her teeth look good, and even happier that she's excited about brushing them!

Meeting Dr. W for the first time :-)

He brushed her teeth for almost 5 minutes. Seriously.

I was thinking that may be the cleanest her teeth will ever be. Haha!

Next came the mirror...

Then when he pulled the out the things that scrape the teeth (I have no idea what they are called).  I just knew she was going to lose it, but she did great!

Now for the fun part...

She looked at the hygenist and said, "Can I have eleven toys. Please?".  It was too funny ;-)

So excited about her treasures!

At lunch telling Daddy all about her teeth :-)
