Weekend Getaway to San Antonio!

We spent a long weekend in San Antonio with some friends, the Cook's and the Jackson's.  We stayed at the Hill Country Hyatt, which I would highly recommend for families with small children.  It truly is an 'family oriented' resort.  Sophia and her friends, Cora and Victoria, had a blast playing in the pool, digging in the sandy beach area, floating in the lazy river, playing on the playground and making s'mores at night by the campfire.  S wasn't really into actually eating the s'mores so Mommy and Daddy ended up eating hers too :-)  While we were there Dan got to go golfing, and I enjoyed some time at the spa with the Anna and Alicia.  For some reason I didn't get any pictures while we were actually at the resort, but I got a ton when we ventured out to Sea World for the morning.

S absolutely loved Sea World!  She had been talking about seeing the whales and dolphins for weeks.  Can you tell how excited she was when we got there?

They have a little aquarium there where you can see the fish, coral and sharks.  She kept saying how beautiful the coral was.  It was actually much more colorful than the pictures.

There were lots and lots of little sharks ...

and a couple big ones.

S was so overexposed in this picture, but I thought the sharks made a cool background.

Big girls on their way to feed the dolphins :-)

Then we went and fed the dolphins which was an absolute hit.  S loved putting the fish in their mouths and touching their slippery skin.

Clearly these dolphins know how to get their treats :-)

She had so much fun we bought more fish and did it again!

Of course, S had to do a little dancing and singing while we were there...

Then we went to see the show Azul with the beluga whales, which are all white and actually really small.

It was a great show and S was absolutely mesmerized the whole time. The only time she moved a muscle was to clap her hands.  So cute :-)

After that it was ridiculously hot so we ventured over to the Sesame Street water park.  S had a blast and loved getting to cool off.  This was her face when she saw where we were going...

She kept saying, "This is the best day ever!"  So cute :-)

There were also some cool tunnels to climb through.

Love Dan's face in this picture.  Haha :-)  So sweet!

Man, I love these two.

After the water park we grabbed a quick lunch and went to the hotel for some much needed naps.  It was such a great weekend getaway and we can't wait to do it again!
