This year for our annual NW Florida vacation we rented a beach house in Destin with our friends the Autrey's. Normally we like to stay a bit further out in the more secluded beach areas, but the central location was perfect for this year!
The girls had such a blast and were SO good sleeping in the same room all week. They even napped every day! It helped that the bunk news they slept on had a large, built in dresser in between so they couldn't see each other :-) S loved building sandcastles, being 'buried' in the sand, snorkeling with Dan, boogie boarding and being silly with Addey. The highlight for the big girls was definitely feeding the dolphins at the aquarium. So fun!
Carsten was acting really fussy (which was a first ever for our sweet boy) and had a low grade fever off and on. We took him to the doctor and he had a double ear infection. Come to find out later this was the beginning of his five months of mono :-( Poor baby was so miserable and just wanted to be held.
We brought a sitter with us on the trip so we had some flexibility while the kids were napping and a night. Dan, Kandis, Lance and I loved being able to enjoy a few meals/drinks sans children :-)
I have a lots more pictures that I will add when I get to the office computer. What a fun vacation and we can't wait until next year!
