It has been a super chilly winter and we have been totally content with keeping things low key :)
There have been a lot of snuggle time and pajama days :-)

Brother has a new found love for "writing"
Sophia had been wanting to make Blessing Bags for a while and we figured Valentine's day would be the perfect day to hand them out. We have always kept a couple BB's in the car in case we ever saw anyone in need while we are out and about. I normally only make 5-6 at a time, but she had the grand idea to make 500. Yes, I said 500. So we started collecting/buying supplies right after Christmas and stored them in my dining room. Our neighbors, school, friends and family all donated supplies and some sweet friends came and helped assemble them.
Somehow we exceeded her goal and ended with 526 Blessing Bags. So amazing! She was so excited to pass them out and literally counted down the days. Sophia, Dan and I (C stayed home to nap) went to downtown Fort Worth on Valentine's day and handed out over 500 bags in about 2 hours. The people were SO happy. It made my heart so happy and S was completely beaming with joy. She loved every second of this entire 6 week process and we could not be prouder of her heart!
Not sure why I can't get this video to play, but the sweetest man serenaded us when we gave him his bag. "Spread a little love" was the name of the song he wrote :-)
I know that God has so many big plans for our sweet girl. She has a heart for Jesus, a love of serving others and unwaivering determination. I can't wait to see what she does for God's Kingdom! :-)
