Arbuckle Wilderness!

This post is mostly pictures, and only one is of my sweet girl.  Crazy... I know. Haha :-)  Anyway, we headed to Oklahoma this weekend to visit my parents (AKA Mimi Debbie and Poppa Kent).  As soon as Sophia woke up we loaded her in the car and then told her where we were going. She was super excited of course!
Usually we are in such a rush to get to OK that we don't stop and enjoy some the neat stuff along the way.  This time we decided to stop at Arbuckle Wilderness and it was SO much fun! I had visited several times as a kid, but it was even better than I remembered! We got to feed every animal right our of the car windows (except the white tiger... obviously). Dan held S in his lap while she fed the animals out of the cups and even a couple out of her hand. She is MUCH braver than her Mommy :-)

Food for the animals.. mmmmmm!

S was SO excited for this adventure!

The emus were SUPER hungry and a little aggressive... haha!

Look at those claws!

The llamas were my favorite :-)

How can you not smile at this face?!

Daddy feeding the buffalo...

Sophia taking a turn.

I would much rather be taking pictures of the animals than feeding them :-)

The zebras were a big hit too

There were a ton of gazelles

Only two of the gazelles have horns.  Maybe they're in charge?

More llamas for Mama :-)  I'm fairly certain that these two were about to climb in the car with me.

They were actually really sweet and gentle

There were some beautiful horses there too.

And donkeys.

S loved the baby donkey.  She kept saying, "Awww... look how cute that little guy is!"

There were lots of deer too.

If you look really hard you can see the white tiger.  He was really pretty from far away :-)

S loved feeding the reindeer and they were definitely her favorite.  She asked if we could come back at Christmas and visit them.  So sweet :-)

The longhorn would NOT leave my window.  Haha :-)

The giraffe was our other favorite.  She was so pretty :-)

I mean... look at those eye lashes!

It was such a fun day!  I would highly recommend visiting Arbuckle Wilderness, Turner Falls and The Cliff restaurant if you are ever in the area.  Definitely worth the detour :-)
