Third Annual Spring Break Lake Trip!

The second half of spring break we went to PK lake with the Cook's and the Autry's.  This is the third year in a row we have gone during the girls spring break.  It is so crazy how much they have changed in the last few years!  The Moms (Anna, Kandis and I) and the girls (Cora, Addey, Reese and Sophia) headed out there a couple days early and the Dads (David, Lance and Dan) met us there on Friday.  As usual, there were tons of fun things for the girls to do.  My camera didn't leave my bag, but thankfully Anna was more proactive and got lots of cute shots of the girls :-)  They had a great time...

playing with the pea gravel...

just being silly in general...

blowing lots of bubbles...

telling and laughing at hilarious jokes...

enjoying God's beautiful sunsets...

going on hikes with the Dads...

and going on a pre-Easter egg hunt!

We tried to recreate the pictures from Spring Break 2011.  Not an identical pose, but cute nonetheless!

Poor Reese... the second kid always gets the shaft.  Don't worry... baby C will be here soon!

If you've been around Sophia in the last year then I'm sure you have noticed her infatuation with males in general.  Yep, that's right.  She tries to get their attention (aka flirting) by laughing, dancing, singing, oh and falling down.  Yes, falling down.  Oh dear.  I'm pretty sure it keeps her Daddy up at night.
We asked her pediatrician about it before she turned three and he said that at this age it is a positive thing, meaning she has a healthy level of love and trusts with the males in her life (i.e. Dad, Poppa's, etc).  He said if it is still like this in five or so years then we will have something to talk about.
Well, this trip the 'older boys' downstairs were outside quite a bit playing football with their Dad.  When we were downstairs Sophia took that opportunity to be their cheerleader (complete with chants and jumps) and she also picked them flowers, which she delivered via their Dad.  Oh, my sweet girl.  While we were up on the deck Sophia took the 'laughing' approach to getting their attention...

Oh, yes.  She is throwing her head back.

Anna got tons of funny pics of Sophia 'flirting'.  This one shows you how smitten she was :-)  Start praying for us now... the pre-teen years will likely rock our world :-/

Of course, no lake trip would be complete without a photo shoot of these cuties..

How cute are these girls?!

I especially love this one :-)

David, Anna & Cora- Thank you again for a fun time at the lake and for all the great pictures!!!
