United Family Picnic and Dance Performances

This is Sophia's second year at United Performing Arts Company and we absolutely love this dance studio!  From age appropriate costumes and songs to 'Jesus Loves Me' painted on the wall, we love everything that they stand for.  United hosted an outdoor mini-recital and family picnic and all the classes performed.  It was incredibly hot and sunny, but the girls were all troopers.

Our little dancer :-)

First her Performing Company class performed...
(S is on the far left)

These girls love to dance!

In between dances we hung out with Mimi and cousin Frankie :-)

Mimi was a good sport while Sophia put flowers in her hair :-)

Sophia's next performance was with her ballet/tap class.  It was a tap dance to the song, "All Aboard the Choo-Choo Train" from Choo Choo Soul with Genevieve.

The choo-chooed onto the stage (S is fourth from the right)...

and when they stopped S somehow got squeezed out of the line.  At first she didn't know what to do...

but then she ran to the end of the line (far right) and started dancing :-)  So funny!

It was a really cute dance!

It was such a fun (and hot) day!  The morning was pretty overcast but as we drove up (literally as we pulled in the parking lot) the sun came out and it was so hot and sunny.  Being 35 week pregnant I was pretty uncomfortable so we moved to the shade after about thirty minutes of being there.  Thank goodness we did because my fair, fair, fair little girl got her first sunburn :-(  It was a pretty bad on her face and neck.  Talk about Mommy guilt.  I felt sooooo bad that I hadn't thought to put sunscreen on her.  Poor baby.  I had to put aloe on her burn for about a week and it finally went away.  You better believe I won't forget the sunscreen again!
