Well, the day I have been dreading/looking forward to is finally here! My sweet boy turned 18 months old and now he gets to go to Spanish Schoolhouse with his Sissy. Somedays I would get teary eyed thinking about it and then other days I would actually look forward to him starting school for a few hours a week. He is SUCH a social little guy and loves to go-go-go like his Daddy. He is definitely not a homebody like his Sister and Mama :-) One of the first things he did when he started crawling is he would crawl to the door that leads to the garage and hit it. I didn't really know what he was doing until a couple months later when he started using words. Then he would crawl to the door and say 'GO!' over and over. He has always loved to be on the go and around a lot of people. I think he might be more ready for school than his Mama is for him to go :-/ I'm going to really miss having him to myself while S is at school, but S goes three days a week and C is only going to go two days a week. So we will still have our Mommy/Carsten time while Sister is at school on Fridays.
Sister just had her tonsils and adenoids out so she is staying at home with me today :-) She has been SO thrilled that C will start going to school with her. He is excited too! Everyday (since before he was one) he had cried when we drop Sister off. For a long time when we got home he would go check her room hoping she was there. Sweet boy missed his Sissy all day :-(
Sophia wanted to 'dress him' for his first day...
His sweet teachers sent me a picture and a note about how great he was doing. It definitely eased my mind a little bit! When I picked him up they said they were shocked that he could understand most of what the were saying in Spanish. Wish I could take credit for that, but it is ALL Maria :-)
I tried to take a couple pictures before school, but it was unbelievably cold and windy. Don't worry… as soon as I snapped these I put his coat on :-)
