About a year ago we noticed that Sophia had started snoring in her sleep. We didn't think to much of it, but then at her well check her Pediatrician mentioned how large her androids are. She had S open her mouth and show us and they were huge! So we scheduled a consult with our ENT and he also suggested adenoid/tonsil removal.
She got her tonsils and adenoids out today and everything went great. She was such a trooper and was so brave! Now we are praying for a smooth recovery!! :-)
OF COURSE you have to wear your tiara to pre-op! She was excited Periquito Azul got to come with her :-)
This was when we were trying to get her loaded in her car seat. Ha! Sweet girl could not wake up.
Not sure why this video won't play, but the stuff she is saying is HILARIOUS.
Let's just say she really like her pain meds and was totally relaxed :-)
She even created some new outfits...
After several days on lockdown we decided that it won't be too strenuous to go to the zoo and we all needed some fresh air. While we were there we ran into the Schorten's. What a treat!! S was SO excited to see her sweet friend Haley. They have been friends since birth!
Bless her heart. Can you see how 'medicated' she is?! Her eyes totally looked glazed over.
Several of S's friends dropped off/sent care packages, flowers, etc for S after surgery. One of her sweet neighborhood friends, Graham, was speaking her love language and brought her art stuff. She loved it all and insisted that she take it to the zoo with us. And she was serious. She sketched/drew almost every animal we saw. We finally had to tell her to just pick her faves or we would be there all day :-)
Brother LOVES the zoo…
Since S has to take it easy for a few days we all followed suit. Pajama marathon I tell you :-)
He can't get enough of his Sissy...
I'm not sure that she should have been driving while on pain meds...
After almost a week of hibernation I took a shower and met those two for dinner. They bless my life in so many ways and make me laugh until I cry. So lucky to call them friends.
About a week after surgery Aunt Chelsea called and had extra tickets the see the Fresh Beat Band (one of the perks of her new job). S was pumped so we decided to give it a shot. I was worried it may be too much since she was still on pain meds, but she enjoyed herself (and was a bit loopy too) :-)
We ran into S's friend Addey there too. It was super fun!
