Sophia loooves natural sciences, experiments and anything of that sort. So I ordered some butterfly eggs, and then over the next several weeks we got to watch the whole life cycle unfold! The metamorphosis process is really cool and I had forgotten so many of the details of it (egg, larva, pupa and adult). Once they were completely developed we were able to release them. It was a super neat process and S loved it :-)
This was their 'home' for about 5 1/2 weeks...
S was straight out of the bath with wet hair :-) She loves to sleep in my tshirts. This one was one that Poppa Kent and Mimi Debbie got for me in Hawaii.

One of them needed a little assistance because part of it's wing was still stuck closed.
