Sophia's First Soccer Practice!

For the last six months when someone would ask Sophia what her favorite game or activity is she always said soccer. At first I thought it was just a cute phase, but it continued and so over the last couple months I had started to have some serious Mommy guilt. She is in so many other activities that I couldn't really justify one more. So, I decided she is going to take a break from swim lessons this fall so she can play her favorite game :-)

A couple weeks ago, S and I went to the local rec. center and signed her up for the 3-5 year old city soccer league. She was beyond excited and wanted to start right then. It was really cute :-) Then we went to Academy to get all of her soccer gear. Who knew soccer had so much gear?! Another perk was that Haley signed up too so she gets to be on a team with one of her best friends!

Today was her first practice and it was so adorable! I'm pretty sure Dan and I thought she was the cutest thing ever in her soccer outfit. Soccer practice was fun and S was completely worn out by the end. I'm not sure she knew about all the running that was involved in this sport. Haha! :-) Their first game is Saturday morning and I'm sure it will be adorable as well.

S and H getting ready for soccer practice...

Love these sweet girls!

Love her face :-)

Getting ready for the warm-up drills...

They did a ton of soccer drills during the hour long practice.  Dan and some of the other Dad's helped Coach Zack keep everyone on task :-)

Practicing scoring goals...

Love Haley in this picture!  Too funny :-)

Love this picture.  It totally shows the attention span of 3-5 year olds.  Haha :-)

The funniest part about the team huddles was that some of the more talkative kiddos (mine included) wanted to chat it up with the Coach Zack about some random stuff.  He could barely get a word in :-)

Taking a water break with Daddy :-)

She was so thirsty (and hot)!
