Sophia's Third Birthday Celebration in San Antonio!

Last May we went to Sea World in San Antonio with a couple other families and had such a great time. After leaving Sea World, Sophia talked about it for weeks and said repeatedly she wanted to go back when she turned three. Well, lucky for her we bought the season pass (it was only $12 more than the 1-day pass) and so we surprised her with a trip back the weekend of her actual birthday.

We stayed at the JW Marriott and it was perfect for our long-weekend getaway! I would highly recommend it to anyone with children because there are so many fun things for them to do. It's a really new resort so it was incredibly nice and had everything this family wanted: yummy restaurants on-site, a wonderful spa, great golf course, toddler water park area and tons of water slides and pools. It was incredibly fun and relaxing! I was about 8 weeks along and it was so nice to relax with by the pool with my virgin pina colada and enjoy the sun :-)

We have loved traveling with Sophia over the last three years, both on vacation and to visit family/friends. She is such a good little traveler and it has made it incredible easy on us. She has always been amazing in the car and on airplanes making us so proud every time. She has literally has slept in tons of bathrooms, closets and laundry rooms. I regret not taking pictures of all the crazy places she has slept, but I definitely will with the next baby!

Putting S in a different room than us is more for my benefit than hers because any little noise wakes me up (and she does tend to sigh a lot and occasionally talk in her sleep). It's probably that because she is such a great sleeper, but traveling doesn't really effect the length of her naps (unless we are traveling during nap time) or her night time sleep. It's crazy to think that the next time we come back it will be with both kids :-) Wow… that is so fun (and strange) to say! Let's pray this one is as easy to travel with :-)

Going down the big slide with Daddy! This slide was closed (so really, really dark) about 80% of the way down and we thought she might be scared, but it ended up being her favorite slide.

And heading to the big slide again...

There were several little slides in the toddler area. S loved it because she could do them all by herself, and we loved just watching from our lounge chairs :-)

Hanging out by the pool with Mommy :-) We were in the shade and she was a little chilly. Can you tell? Haha!

The other big slides were partially open and S loved them as well...

So much fun!

I saw a lot of this throughout the weekend.

Melts my heart every time :-)

We also did a lot of swimming throughout the weekend...

Our little fish :-)

When we asked her what she wanted for her birthday breakfast and she said chocolate chip pancakes in her jammies. So pancakes and room service it was! So cute :-)

Daddy and his birthday girl :-)

After breakfast we ventured out to Sea World. The first thing she wanted to do when we got there was feed the dolphins...

When they came close she would close her eyes and try to kiss them. So sweet :-)

Sophia's eye was still healing from her fall at park party. Bless her little heart!

Then we saw the Shamu show. S and I had never seen it before and it was really cool!

Dancing with the trainer...

It is amazing how smart the whales are!

Hanging out with my birthday girl :-)

Enjoying the lazy river with Daddy :-)

There were a lot of cool water features throughout the lazy river.

Such a fun and relaxing weekend!
