Christmas Eve at Home

I'm not sure why, but since Sophia was born we have started looking forward to spending holidays at home.  Don't get me wrong, we love seeing our sweet families and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the holiday season as much as the next person.  There is just something special about being at home on the actual 'day'.  We celebrated Christmas early this year with both of our families allowing us to be home for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  It was wonderful.

We made pancakes for our Christmas Eve dinner.  Traditionally we have waffles, but I couldn't resist using the cute holiday cookie cutters Mimi got us.

I made Sophia's name out of the batter too.  She thought that was pretty neat :-)

This is what she does lately when I ask her to smile.  Haha :-)
Is it me or does my tree look really lopsided in this picture?! So weird.
We displayed the Christmas cards we received on this neat card hanger.  It is really tall and actually holds a ton of cards. It is so fun to check the mail this time of year!  Sophia loved looking at the cards and talking about all her friends.
Love this picture of her!  I'm definitely adding it to my ever-growing list of pics to edit :-)
Sophia was pretending to call everyone she knows to tell them "Merry Chirstmas Eve!"  So cute!
