I took Sophia to get her first manicure and pedicure today. Well, really it was just a shape and polish, but she doesn't need to know that. It was a win-win situation for everyone. She was excited to get her nails painted, and I was thrilled to get a pedicure (and sit quietly in a massage chair for an hour).
She was excited when I told her to pick out what color she wanted. Without hesitation she chose her two favorite colors: yellow for her toes and green for her nails. So funny! She really wanted me to get yellow as well, but I convinced her that Mommy needed to get Dutch Tulip :-)
She absolutely LOVED getting pampered, and was mesmerized by the entire process. She was so great, and didn't move a muscle for over an hour. In fact, she was hesitant when I told her it was time to leave because she thought her nails were still wet. For the next few days, she insisted on showing her fancy nails/toes to everyone we saw. I think this may be a new 'activity' for Mommy and Sophia :-)
