Sophia started her first dance class last month at United Dance & Cheer. She goes every Wednesday for 45 minutes and absolutely loves it! It is her first 'big girl' class that doesn't allow Mommies in the room. That was hard for me at first, but now I love just relaxing and chatting with the other Moms while the girls are in dance class. We have met some great friends, and get to enjoy a super fun play date with Corinne and her Mommy, Melanie, every Wednesday after class. It is definitely one of the highlights of our week!
The entire time we were waiting for Sophia's class to go on stage she was absolutely mesmerized watching the other dancers perform. It was crazy how focused she was, and she cheered loudly in between each routine. When it was time for the girls to perform I'm a Little Tea Pot, they all marched up on stage and not a single one got stage fright. Imagine that ;-) The routine was absolutely precious and the girls did so good. We had to video it to show the grandparents, but luckily Melanie brought her camera and got some adorable shots. Sophia did amazing, and we were so proud of our little dancer!
Making their way to the stage...
Just as the music started. Corinne (far right) was the first to bust a move ;-)
My favorite part was watching all the girls dance...
definitely not the same moves at the same time...
but they were still on the stage and dancing!
And for new 2-year olds...
that is a pretty big deal!!!
Everyone got so tickled because Sophia immediately starting clapping
and yelling, "Yay, good job", at the end of the routine.
I guess she knew how awesome they did ;-)
Thanks again for the pics, Mel!
